Dan Levitan

Co-Founder and Partner

Brought a wealth of experience in the retail, consumer and financial sectors, when he and Howard Schultz founded Maveron in 1998.    Prior to founding Maveron, Dan was a Managing Director at Schroders, where he headed consumer investment banking, new business development and founded the West Coast investment banking division. Dan and Howard met in  1991when Starbucks began planning for its IPO. Seven years later, Dan and Howard founded Maveron  together. Dan has led numerous Maveron investments over the years. He currently sits on the board of directors of Decide.com, NextFoods, PayNearMe, Pinkberry, Potbelly Sandwich Works, SeatMe, Trupanion and zulily (see Investment Team).
